Protests in Anaheim continued yesterday, even after the mother of Manuel Diaz, whose death at the hands of Anaheim police on Saturday led to the protests, pleaded to people to “please, please, please stop the violence.”
The tensions continued, prompting the mayor of Anaheim, Tom Tait, to warn protesters that the city will not tolerate violent acts: ”We are happy to hear from any and all residents, But we will not accept any violent protests, vandalism or arson perpetrated under the guise of public protest.”
